Spring of Culture 2011 would not be complete
without its social responsibility programme that
the festival provides with heart.
As a start, the festival has agreed with some of
the participating groups to perform extra shows
especially for childcare societies. Children of
Al Sanabil Orphans Care Society in Muharraq
are invited to see the enchantingly beautiful
performance of the puppet show Pekka. Al Sanabil
Orphans Care Society has more than 400 orphans
registered to whom it provides special services
and ensures they are integrated into the society.
Dan Zanes and Friends are excited about giving a
special concert at the National Bank of Bahrain
Home for the Disabled, which is a school that
provides special education for children with Down
Syndrome, Autism and Developmental Delay.
In addition, Play Please, one of our most attractive
shows for children will invite the curious minds
of the Child Welfare Home to their performance.
The Child Welfare Home is an establishment by
the Ministry of Social Development that hosts and
responds to the needs of a large number of orphans
in the country. The festival will also give away a
number of tickets for the Arad Fort events to other
children societies as well as elderly homes.
Spring of Culture continues to be nature friendly
by printing on environmentally friendly paper
and producing a smaller number of promotional
materials.
