The Spring of Culture Education programme, sponsored by the Economic Development Board, offers the public unique, artistic and cultural experiences. The events, open to art and culture enthusiasts in the Kingdom of Bahrain, kick off with an exciting sand art workshop for families on the beach. The event is held in celebration of International Women’s Day and conducted by the famous International sand sculpture artist Sudarsan Pattnaik. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the best!
A unique visual, audible and performing arts workshop is hosted by the Traveling Bohemians program. The workshop provides opportunities to entertain and educate children while having fun. Both children and their parents can enjoy an afternoon of fairytales from many different cultures, sprinkled with music and dance. The programme will also include open mic and jam sessions where instruments and paint tools are provided for children to further explore the world of music, colors and movement. Families are welcome to bring their own instruments, paints and favorite outfits to add a little more magic to the experience.
Also in store are several workshops organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research that feature various types of traditional and modern art forms, all of which are conducted in a way that combines both education and fun. These include a series of workshops that focus on different aspects of creating professional photo-books under the tutelage of subject matter experts, two workshops on the arts of mosaics and ceramics with the artists Marjan Rustom and Mariam Yousif, respectively, as well as workshops for young adults on how to make their very own traditional diver’s basket and the process of writing short stories, and many more.
